When you entrust the education and care of your child at Hot Tots, you can be assured our dedicated team of Educators put the well-being, happiness, development and education of your child above all else. All Educators have current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates.
Our dedicated team of Educators understand how critical the first five years is to a child's development. At Hot Tots we believe children develop best when their days are filled with play, learning and fun. The important thing is to achieve the right balance.
We understand a child's developmental growth - physically, socially and emotionally providing them with the ability to learn the types of knowledge, behaviour, thinking and communication skills they require for life.
As we recognise the importance of stimulating a child's brain in the early years is critical, we ensure the experiences of hearing, seeing, touching, smelling, tasting, exploring and questioning. This provides the foundation for learning and other lifelong skills shaping the adults they will become.
Our Team
Michelle
Hello, my name is Michelle and I am the Service Manager at Hot Tots Educational Centre. I have the day-to-day responsibility for the service in accordance with the National Regulations. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and have over 20 years’ experience in early childhood. This includes working with all age groups and I have been part of the Hot Tots community since 2006. I feel very privileged to come to work each day to a job that I love and where I get to watch the children grow into confident involved learners.
Lyn
Hi, my name is Lyn and I have worked in the childcare industry for over 30 years. I am the Educational Leader as I am very passionate about mentoring Educators in their roll of educating young children.
This includes Educators understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards so they can provide the best quality education and care for the children within the service. I love the innocence of young children and how they learn.
Olivia
Hi, my name is Olivia and I have the pleasure of being the Early Childhood Teacher for our Kindergarten. I commenced working in the childcare industry after finishing school in 2012. In 2017 I completed my Bachelor of Education at Central Queensland University, and also hold my Certificate III and Diploma in Children's Services.
I love teaching children and helping them grow and learn every day – implementing the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline Curriculum.
I am deeply passionate in what I do and would not change my job for anything else. I am very artistic, I love art and creating things every day. I enjoy music, song and dance and am looking forward to dancing with your children as we learn.
Ronnie
Hi, my name is Ronette, but you can call me “Ronnie“ for short. I am an Educator in our Kindergarten. I am from the Philippines and been living in Mackay since 2015.
I completed my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care from Central Queensland University TAFE in 2016 and I am currently studying towards my Diploma in Children's Services. I completed my job placement at Hot Tots and was given the opportunity to start my career as an Educator in 2016. Previously, I was working across all rooms, which provided great training, working and learning with different Educators and children.
Rachel
Hi, my name is Rachel and I hold a Diploma in Children's Services. I am a Lead Educator in the Pre Kindy Classroom and joined Hot Tots in 2008. I passionately support children to explore their interest in undertaking different activities and I recognise them as unique young individuals.
Sarah
Hi, my name is Sarah and I am a Lead Educator in the Pre Kindy Classroom. I hold a Diploma in Children's Services and have over 10 years experience in the childcare industry. I joined the Hot Tots family in 2007. After getting married and having time off whilst having my two children, I am loving being back at Hot Tots watching all the beautiful children grow and learn.
Helen
Hi, my name is Helen and I am an Educator in the Pre Kindy Classroom. I moved to Mackay in 2009 from Victoria with my husband and have two sons who live in Melbourne. I've worked at Hot Tots since 2009 and have over 25 years’ experience in the childcare industry, having seen many changes in that time.

Hi, my name is Maree and I am a Lead Educator in the Junior Kindy Classroom. I have over 12 years’ experience working in Early Childhood Education and hold a Diploma in Children's Services. After taking a break to raise and spend time with my family, I decided to re-enter the childcare industry and I was fortunate to join Hot Tots in 2016. I have such passion for what I do and such passion in watching children grown and learn.
Tamara
Hi, my name is Tamara (Miss Mara) and I am a Lead Educator in the Junior Kindy Classroom. I joined the Hot Tots family in 2017. I have worked in early childhood education for the past 16 years, during which time I had the opportunity to gain experience working with all age groups. I have a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and am currently studying my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

Hi, my name is Marlene and I am a Lead Educator in the Junior Kindy Classroom. I have been in the childcare industry for seven years and hold a Diploma in Children's Services. My passion is helping children grow strong and to be the best that they can be, through exploring, discovery and play.
Brooke
Hi, my name is Brooke and I am an Educator in the Junior Kindy Classroom. I hold my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and have been part of the Hot Tots family since November 2016. My goal is to make your child’s learning experiences as fun as possible.
Jessie
Hi, my name is Jessie and I am a Lead Educator in the Toddlers Classroom. I was born and raised in Mackay, and I have been working at Hot Tots since 2009. I hold a Diploma in Children’s Services and I aim to encourage each child to reach their full potential and to become confident individuals, allowing them to explore and discover a world through learning and fun.
Robyn
Hi, my name is Robyn and I am an Educator in the Toddlers Classroom. I was born in Nebo just outside of Mackay. I completed primary school there and then moved to Gatton where I went to high school. At a very young age I had a strong desire to work with children and this eventually lead me to become a full-time nanny at the age of 17. I met my husband through my work and we have three beautiful daughters.
Katelyn
Hi, my name is Katelyn and I am an Educator in the Toddlers Classroom. I joined the Hot Tots community in April 2017. I hold my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and have been working in the childcare industry since January 2015. I have worked across all ages, though most of my experience has been in the Toddlers age group.
I am passionate about providing children with a fun, safe and nurturing environment that they feel comfortable in. I love being creative with the children, helping them to extend on their own interests, through rich and meaningful experiences and activities.
Jocelyn
Hi, my name is Jocelyn. I am a Lead Educator and I am excited to teach Mandarin lessons in all classrooms. I was born in China and moved to Australia in 2008 after getting married. I enjoy sharing my culture with the children and we have great fun from our lessons. I feel very happy when they greet me in Chinese.
Krystal
Hi, my name is Krystal and I am an Educator at Hot Tots, where I work across the different classrooms. I have been part of the Hot Tots family since 2014 and hold my Certificate III in Early Childhood and am currently studying my Diploma in Children’s Services. I grew up in Bundaberg and relocated to Mackay in 2014. I believe that all children are individuals and I will support each child to develop skills for lifelong learning.
Amber
Hi, my name is Amber and I am the Educator in Training at Hot Tots. I work across the different classrooms, supporting the Lead Educators and Educators. I was born in Townsville and grew up in Mackay. I love the outdoors and interacting with children, which is why I wanted to work in the childcare industry.
